3. Archaeology

An application for an archaeological dig has been made to allow the community to examine a fort on the River Arney close to the find of a late bronze age sword [700 BC] and where the Battle of the Ford of the Biscuits [1594] was fought. Is there a connection between the fort and the ford? Could the ford be part of an ancient crossing route from Connaught into Ulster and could Cuchullan have crossed the Arney at this point?
